Daniela Szwarcman

Daniela Szwarcman is a Research Scientist in the Spatiotemporal Modeling group at IBM Research Brazil, where she began as a Ph.D. student intern in 2017. She earned her Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering with a specialization in AI from PUC-Rio in 2020. Her current work at IBM Research focuses on developing and implementing deep neural networks and foundation models for spatiotemporal data analysis, with applications in earth observation, weather, and climate. Her research interests include deep learning, foundation models, and generative models.
