Henrique Barbosa
Dr. Barbosa is an associate professor at the Department of Physics of UMBC. His research focuses on understanding the role of water vapor and clouds on the climate system and how anthropogenic influences might change it. His interests also include biosphere-atmosphere interactions, the hydrological cycle, convective clouds, and aerosol-cloud-radiation interactions. He is a member of the International Commission on Clouds and Precipitation (ICCP). He was a visiting professor at the University of Granada – Spain, and the University of Manchester – UK. Prior to joining UMBC, Dr. Barbosa was a professor at the University of Sao Paulo, where he served as the head of the Applied Physics Department.
