I’m a dedicated researcher and practitioner in computer science with a specialized focus on deep learning, multi-modal computer vision, medical informatics, and large-scale data analytics. I earned my Bachelor’s in Informatics Engineering (Teknik Informatika) from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh November (ITS) in 2007, followed by an MSc in Computer Science from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in 2011. In 2018, I completed my Doctor of Engineering in Information Engineering from Hiroshima University, Japan, under the mentorship of Prof. Takio Kurita.
During my academic journey, I collaborated with leading research institutes, including the Mathematical Neuro-Informatics Group at AIST, Japan, and later engaged in a two-year postdoctoral position in collaboration with RIKEN and Osaka University, where I deepened my expertise in informatics and data analytics.
Today, I am the founder of Deep Learning Indonesia, a vibrant community advancing deep learning research and application across Indonesia. I am actively publishing, reviewing, and contributing to notable journals and conferences like IJCV (International Journal of Computer Vision), IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, IEEE Internet of Things, IEEE Transactions on Computational Social Systems, Pattern Recognition Letters, Neurocomputing, IEEE Access, ICONIP, SMC, and ICPR, etc. supporting the growth of knowledge in computer vision and pattern recognition.
My current research interests include deep learning in computers, multi-modal computer vision learning, forecasting, medical informatics, integration of large language (LLM) model and large visual model (LVM), and big data analytics. Alongside my research, I work collaboratively with institutions, universities, and companies across Indonesia to drive impactful projects in AI and data science.
